キハラ龍太郎 プロフィール
1985年から約１年間、バンドの活動と並行して大江慎也の抜けた「ルースターズ」のキーボードをサポート。2004年発売のCD DVDボックスセット『VIRUS SECURITY』（コロンビア）にはこの頃の未発表ライブ音源やビデオ映像が収録された。1987年「ブルートニック」テイチクノンスタンダードレーベルよりデビュー。12inchシングル２枚、フルアルバム２枚、コンピレーションとライブアルバムそれぞれ１枚ずつを残し89年解散。
1990年「オリジナルラヴ」参加。1991年東芝EMIから１stシングル『DEEP FRENCH KISS』でデビュー。２枚組ファーストアルバム『LOVE ! LOVE ! & LOVE』はその年の日本レコード大賞アルバムニューアーティスト賞を獲得した。「オリジナルラヴ」には幾つかの詞と曲を提供したが、特に２ndシングル『月の裏で会いましょう』（フジテレビ系ドラマバナナチップスラブ主題歌）、３rdシングル『ヴィーナス』（ブティックJOY TV-CM）、４thシングル『サンシャインロマンス』（カシオ20bar TV-CM）の作詞を担当。メジャーにおける初期創成期の重要な役割を担った。これら木原龍太郎が制作に関わった楽曲は、bird、島谷ひとみ、及川光博等、数多くのアーティスト達により今日に於いても尚カバーされ、また、多くのオムニバスにも収録され続けている。
1994年４thアルバム『風の歌を聴け』リリース。オリコン初登場１位を記録。
1995年５thアルバム『Rainbow Race』リリースを最後にバンドを脱退。以前より行っていた他アーティストのプロデュースやアレンジ、詞や曲の提供などを本格化させるようになる。幅広い音楽観、時代を掴む斬新なアプローチ、聴く者の胸を打つ、ならではのサウンドプロダクションは各方面から定評を得ている。また、自身が詞を書けることから必要に応じ、アーティストの言葉にほんの少し手を加え、違った風景を提示するといったプロデュースワークも各アーティストの信頼を得ている。
2007年かねてより構想のあったリーダーアルバム制作に着手。NY在住のジャズボーカリスト、ベイ･シュー、元ルースターズの花田裕之、具島直子らをゲストに迎え、2009年遂に初めてのソロアルバム『TEN SKETCHES OF ME』リリース。キハラ龍太郎の新たなる一ページがここに付け加えられた。

Seven singles and five albums were released during on the period.
The tunes that he was especially related to the song writing have been covered with a lot of famous musicians. Moreover, the work keeps being collected to a lot of compilation albums, and being loved as standard in the 90’s by the people.
A real activity as the producer, the songwriter and the player has been started as solo after he parted from the band. UA, BONNIE PINK, YUKIHIRO TAKAHASHI(feat.TOKYO SKA PARADISE ORCHESTRA), CLEMENTINE, YASUKO AGAWA, ULFULS, SMAP, etc. are the main artists involved in the work making.
The evaluation to the quality of the tune and the baptized sound is very high, and he is recognized as one of the top producers in Japan now.
He participated in omnibus album “NEW WAVE” by covering “NORTH MARINE DRIVE”(feat. Bei Xu from N.Y.) of BEN WATT in 2007. Real solo album production begins starting with this.
HIROYUKI HANADA (ROOSTERS) and NAOKO GUSHIMA in addition to Bei Xu were received in the guest, and long-awaited first album “TEN SKETCHES OF ME” was finally completed.
“TEN SKETCHES OF ME” is music to which he wanted also to listen by himself. Ten songs, a sound with a beautiful sense that exists in the sunbeam that spills between trees and a gentle melody, all is to be projected in your mind attended with more colors.
It is a start of his new career.
